Walking Mammoth by Eddie Lee, Fossil Mammoth Molar Sculpture Carving on Amethyst #126 Dimensions (L x W x H inches): 6.5 X 7.5 X 10
Manny the walking mammoth is reemerging from a 100,000 year old hibernation. He is carved from an authentic Alaskan fossilized mammoth molar fossil. The natural grain and color of the tooth bring depth and texture to recreate the mammoth's fur. This is one of the most challenging materials Eddie carves in. It requires a diamond bit dremel as the hardness can reach up to a 6 on the Mohs hardness scale. Mammoth fossils date anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 years old.
