Fossilized Mammoth Molar Sculpture By Eddie Lee Dimensions (L x W x H): 7" X 7" X 7"
This walking mammoth has a calm and docile eyes. He is reemerging from a 100,000 year old hibernation. This mammoth has been brought back to life as it is carved from an authentic Alaskan fossilized mammoth molar. The natural grain and color of the tooth bring depth and texture to recreate the mammoth's fur. The base is selenite stone, which can be lit from underneath to create an icy glow. This is one of the most challenging materials Eddie carves in. It requires a diamond bit dremel as the hardness can reach up to a 6 on the Mohs hardness scale. Mammoth fossils date anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 years old.
